Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - 1992 - Toronto

One of the most enduring shows of all time, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is the irresistible family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph, Israel's favorite son. The first collaboration of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber (Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom of the Opera, Cats) and lyricist Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, The Lion King), JOSEPH blends pop, country and rock into an uplifting, technicolored story of biblical proportions.

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colors, this magical musical is full of unforgettable songs including Those Canaan Days, Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door.

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT was Andrew Lloyd Webber's and Tim Rice's first foray into Biblical themes. Starting with the well known Old Testament tale of a young boy, jealous siblings, and an astonishing journey provoked by a doting father's excessive gift, the production featured song stylings and production numbers spoofing everything from country to calypso to French chanteuse.

What is a casting director? Casting directors work closely with members of a production's creative team to help them find ideal candidates for each role. Typically, they will not make the final decision on who is hired, but they often play a vital role in holding auditions, finding talent, and providing an array of options for key members of a show's production team.

Vonnegut proposed that every story ever told followed a graphable shape. The stories are graphed on two axes: the vertical “good fortune-ill fortune” axis and the horizontal “beginning-end” axis. Perhaps stories aren’t as unique as we think they are—and perhaps that isn’t a bad thing.

The antics of the Wicksteed home are a darkly satirical merry-go-round in Alan Bennett's Habeas Corpus.  Family, friends and the quest for sexual pleasures of the body (“corpus”) are the ruling passions in this farcical comedy of ill-manners. Through an escapade of mistaken identities and carnal encounters, one motto holds fast: “He whose lust lasts, lasts longest.”
