Superhero Clubhouse has announced the complete cast and creative team for the world premiere of Mammelephant, a musical epic exploring displacement and identity in the era of climate change as experienced by the world’s first mammoth-elephant hybrid.

The ever-adventurous Miller Theatre presents a full season of in-person programming for the first time since before the pandemic. Executive Director Melissa Smey, lauded for the integrity of her curating, has produced an invigorating season featuring four classic Miller series: Composer Portraits, Early Music, Bach, and Jazz.

The Skeleton Rep(resents) in partnership with EAG’s Open Stage Grant will present The Inconvenient Miracle: A Mysterious Birth Musical, a new musical comedy with Music & Lyrics by Emily Rose Simons and Book by Emily Claire Schmitt, directed by Ria T. DiLullo at The Episcopal Actors Guild.

Last night, Friday, June 3rd, Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl kicked off the iconic venue’s celebration of its first 100 seasons with a lineup of sensational performances featuring Gwen Stefani, LA Phil Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The LA Phil opened the evening with the world premiere of Centennial Overture, written by legendary composer John Williams, who made a surprise guest appearance to conduct the work commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Hollywood Bowl.

The Kimmel Cultural Campus has announced that FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME founding member, producer, and Pulitzer Prize, Grammy®, Emmy®, and Tony Award® Winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, In the Heights, Disney’s Encanto) will join the national tour of FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME as a special guest at the 8 p.m. performance on June 10, 2022.

A new play by ex-Israeli soldier Jonathan Hirsch. Set in a military bunker on the outskirts of combat, this sobering comedy about a squad of four soldiers weaves through the final ninety minutes of someone's life.

The original music was written by David Kurkowski (FINDING MADAME CURIE) with direction by Zillah Glory Langsjoen, music direction by Ben Kiley, and choreography by Tatyana Kot.

Grammy-award winner Emilio Solla (music) and award-winning NYC advertising lyricist Jarlath Barsanti Jacobs (book/lyrics) bring their original new work Fire Island The Musical to Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd St. Theater Four, for four performances: April 27 (8pm), April 30 (8pm), May 6 (8pm) and May 14 (3pm). It is part of the CreateTheater New Works Festival running until May 14.

South Chicago Dance Theatre, a multicultural organization that fuses classical and contemporary dance styles while preserving historic dance work, has announced An Evening with the South Chicago Dance Theatre: Celebrating Five Years, featuring five world premieres by five dynamic choreographers— Ron De Jesús, Stephanie Martinez, Crystal Michelle, Wade Schaaf and Kia S. TheaterWorks Hartford will present the East Coast premiere of Zoey’s Perfect Wedding by Tony-winner Matthew López, the first Latiné playwright to win the Tony Award for best play. The San Francisco International Arts Festival is proud to present the World Premiere of Religion Kitendi: Dress Code by Chanel 'Byb' Bibene, artistic director of Kiandanda Dance Theater with an original live score composed and performed live by Manolo Davila. The piece is inspired by Congolese Sapeurs (dandies) who become metaphors for the legacy and ongoing political ramifications of European slavery and colonization in both Africa and America.

San Francisco Playhouse announced today the six plays that will comprise its 2022/23 Season. This marks the company’s 20th season since its founding in 2003 and celebrates the company’s commitment to producing bold, challenging, and uplifting plays and musicals for the Bay Area community. The season will begin in September 2022.
