San Francisco's 42nd Street Moon presents its first 2019 production, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical FIORELLO! Based on the life of New York City's legendary mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia, FIORELLO! features lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and music by Jerry Bock (SHE LOVES ME, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF) and a book by Jerome Weidman and George Abbott (THE PAJAMA GAME, DAMN YANKEES).

Pacific Symphony, in its ongoing quest to present a broad array of musical genres for diverse audiences, will celebrate the Iranian New Year festival of Nowruz, which marks the arrival of spring and has been celebrated since ancient times. Presented in collaboration with the Farhang Foundation, this special concert led by Music Director Carl St.Clair will take place on March 24 at 7 p.m.

Schimmel Center at Pace University continues its 2018-19 Folk Series with the South Carolina quintet Ranky Tanky on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 7:30pm. Specializing in fusing traditional Gullah music with jazz, blues, gospel, and R&B, the band's eponymous debut album hit #1 on the Billboard, iTunes, and Amazon Jazz Charts. 

New York Live Arts (Live Arts) to present the world premiere of Kota Yamazaki/Fluid Hug-Hug's Darkness Odyssey Part 3: Non-Opera, Becoming, April 3-6, 2019, having commissioned the work as part of the Live Feed Residency Program. A co-presentation with Mount Tremper Arts, the final installment of Yamazaki's Darkness Odyssey series, is a non-operatic dance celebrating the bridge between 'this self' and 'the other self." Bessie Award winning Yamazaki magnifies the ever-changing state and process of 'becoming' while encouraging exchange between performers from different dance practices, and cultural backgrounds.

Adapted for family audiences from the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, BIG RIVER: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn tells the story of Huck and his friend Jim, a slave, as they travel along the mighty Mississippi River. Huck tries to help Jim escape to freedom and reunite with his family.

Nickelodeon and VStar Entertainment Group, part of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, today announced the U.S. debut of the live theatrical production Nick Jr. Live! "Move to the Music." The brand-new musical spectacular will feature, for the first time ever on one stage, characters from multiple hit Nickelodeon preschool animated series, including Bubble Guppies, PAW Patrol (produced by Spin Master Entertainment), Dora the Explorer, Shimmer and Shine, Blue's Clues & You!, Blaze and the Monster Machines and Top Wing. Utah Opera continues its 2018-19 season with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's The Magic Flute, a fairytale-like story with lessons of courage, respect, and truth. Utah Symphony Music Director Thierry Fischer together with Stage Director Paul Peers will lead five performances at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre (50 West 200 South) on March 9 and 15 at 7:30 PM, March 11 and 13 at 7 PM, and March 17 at 2 PM. 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to add the NYC premiere of AFTER, written by Michael McKeever and directed by Joe Brancato, to the Winter 2018 Season. The winners of the 48th annual George London Foundation Awards Competition for young American and Canadian opera singers were announced at the conclusion of the competition's final round this evening, which took place before an enthusiastic audience at Gilder Lehrman Hall at The Morgan Library & Museum in New York City.
