Jacob's Pillow opens its 87th season with premier Canadian contemporary ballet company Ballet BC in the Ted Shawn Theatre, June 19-23. Celebrating ten years under the leadership of Artistic Director Emily Molnar, Ballet BC is considered one of the most significant Canadian companies, acclaimed as "physically rigorous, dramatically solid, and truly contemporary" (Dance Magazine). Ballet BC's program features the U.S. premiere of Bedroom Folk from Israeli collaborators Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar, Molnar's most recent work To this day, and Medhi Walerski's signature Petite Ceremonie.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team as comic playwright Ken Ludwig, who delighted Globe audiences with Robin Hood! and Baskerville, returns with a hilarious world premiere: Ken Ludwig's The Gods of Comedy, directed by Amanda Dehnert (West Side Story at Carnegie Hall, world premieres of Kate Hamill's Pride and Prejudice and Ludwig's Baskerville). Presented in association with McCarter Theatre Center, The Gods of Comedy will run May 11 - June 16, 2019 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage, Old Globe Theatre, Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, opening on May 16. Grammy winning singer/songwriter, John Berry, has released a heartfelt and personal song from his latest project, Thomas Road. The endearing single entitled, 'The Richest Man,” was released with an exclusive announcement in Billboard Magazine on Friday. Two-time Grammy-nominated and millions-selling progressive music titans Dream Theater have released another song from their recently announced 14th studio album, Distance Over Time. “Fall Into The Light” is the second new song from the album slated for worldwide release on February 22, 2019. The new song builds upon the excitement that the band created in December with the release of the first track from Distance Over Time, “Untethered Angel,” that has been viewed over 1.5 million times in 4 weeks since its release. “Fall Into The Light” is a riff-driven, epic musical experience that takes the listener on a 7-minute emotional journey, something Dream Theater does all too well. To the delight of her fans, the 10th anniversary special engagement of Storm Large's autobiographical, one-woman rock musical Crazy Enough goes on sale to the public on Jan. 4. Crazy Enough broke records at The Armory in 2009 with a sold-out, 21-week run. Beginning with stories of a childhood complicated by her mother's schizophrenia, Large takes us through the ups and downs of the years that follow - sex, drugs, running away to California, and the saving grace of rock 'n' roll. Crazy Enoughfeatures original songs by Large and James Beaton, including the hilarious and incredibly catchy "My Vagina is Eight Miles Wide." It will be directed by Daniel Stern with original music director Beaton on the U.S. Bank Main Stage. Crazy Enough will open on Large's 50th birthday.

A Life begins preview performances on September 29, opens on October 5, and runs through November 11 in the Ellyn Bye Studio. Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan, who has frequently partnered with Bock, will direct. Nat DeWolf (Broadway: Take Me Out) will make his company debut as the astrology-loving and hopelessly single Nate Martin. DeWolf is joined by Cycerli Ash, also making her debut at The Armory, as well as returning artists Dana Green (Major Barbara and many others) and Gary Norman (Our Town).
