Kiss Me, Kate! is a musical written by Bella and Samuel Spewack ,with music and lyrics by Cole Porter. The story involves the production of a musical version of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew and the conflict on and off-stage between Fred Graham, the show's director, producer, and star, and his leading lady, his ex-wife Lilli Vanessi.

Eli Paperboy Reed unveils the second single, “IDKWYCTD (I Came to Play),” from his forthcoming album Hits And Misses: The Singles. The high-energy, anthemic party starter, “IDKWYCTD (I Came to Play),” one of three originals featured on the album, was featured in Disney's Marvel comic series, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.

ISLE Theater Company has announced the world premiere of Aislinn Brophy's WATER, WATER EVERYWHERE, a contemporary adaptation of the epic lyrical ballad 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Mamma Mia! is a jukebox musical based on songs recorded by Swedish group ABBA. The heroine of the show is Donna, who keeps a tavern on a small Greek island and plans to marry Sophie, her daughter. Trying to figure out who her father is, Sophie invites the three most likely candidates to the wedding, setting the scene for farcical complications.

 Cheap Trick have announced fall tour dates that will begin October 2 at Springfield, MO’s Gillioz Theatre and then make stops across the country through the month. Trinity Repertory Company concludes its 2022-23 Season with the award-winning musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler. Directed by Curt Columbus, Sweeney Todd runs at Trinity Rep in the Dowling Theater from May 25 through June 25, 2023.
