Now, more than two years after it was first announced, the cast of Chains will celebrate Opening Night on Thursday June 23rd, at Theatre Row. Performances will now continue through July 23rd.

The Drama Book Shop, a 105-year-old independent bookstore in New York City owned by Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jeffrey Seller and James L. Nederlander, will celebrate its first anniversary since reopening its doors at 266 West 39th Street on Friday, June 10, 2022.

Kennedy Center Honor, Grammy, Tony, Pulitzer Prize, and Emmy award winning songwriter, actor, director, and producer Lin-Manuel Miranda will receive this year’s NMPA Songwriter Icon award, and Universal Music Group Chairman & CEO Sir Lucian Grainge will deliver a keynote conversation.

On March 11th 2020 Mint Theater Company completed casting for their next production, the long delayed American premiere of Chains by Elizabeth Baker, scheduled to open that May.  

The Pulitzer Prize Board has just announced that Fat Ham has won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Other finalists included: Selling Kabul, and Kristina Wong, Sweatshop Overlord.

Mint Theater Company announced that Elizabeth Baker’s Chains would make its long delayed American premiere at Theatre Row.

The Drama Book Shop has announced the launch of an e-commerce site, providing worldwide access to thousands of theatrical titles. The online store features all the titles available in the New York shop and will offer staff recommendations, new plays, monthly selects, indie titles, top picks for kids and more. 

Mayor Bill de Blasio stopped by the Drama Book Shop to honor the bookstore and declare October 26, 2021 “Drama Book Shop Day.”  Co-owner Lin-Manuel Miranda was at the store to receive the proclamation from the Mayor, speak on the importance of getting vaccinated and encourage the community to shop locally to support small businesses. 

Tony Award winner and American Conservatory Theater Artistic Director Pam MacKinnon and Executive Director Jennifer Bielstein announced today that single tickets for A.C.T.'s upcoming productions of Freestyle Love Supreme, Fefu and Her Friends, and The Lehman Trilogy are now on sale.
