Basking in the last embers of late Summer, Montreal singer-songwriter - ALEX NICOL - is back with the new single “Working On My Tan”. Exuding a warmth of sound, texture, and soul, the track arrives as the first taste of his forthcoming collection ‘Been A Long Year Vol.1 & Vol.2’.

Jacquees continues a busy and prolific 2023. He notably captivated audiences on Tink’s Thanks 4 Everything Tour in addition to teaming up with Queen Naija for a tribute to the iconic R&B trio SWV at this year’s Black Music Honors television special. Earlier this month, Diddy unveiled a special collaboration “Pick Up” with Jacquees and Fabolous.

Just ahead of Friday’s release of Filth is Eternal’s new album Find Out they’ve revealed their powerful new single “Cherish,” which implores listeners to believe in themselves and their creativity. “Cherish” comes with a vivid new video directed by Di Angelo themselves.

Second week into classes, the back-to-school season is up and running! I’m really happy to be back at school doing what I love with the people I love for my second year as a musical theatre major. Being a sophomore, I feel like I definitely have a better hold on navigating things around campus, but there’s also a lot of new additions to my school's performing arts program this year, which is keeping everything (as always) a learning experience!

Self recorded this Spring in a cabin in the Poconos Mountains, and mixed by Al Carlson (Oneohtrix Point Never, Jessica Pratt, Laurel Halo) in Brooklyn, New York, at first listen the new project can still feel chaotically uneasy, albeit in a way that feels whittled down to the band’s emotional core. Sunday, 3 September 2023 marks the re-opening of Kilmartin Museum, revealing its incredible renovation which includes a much larger exhibition space, a stunning learning space which can be used to deliver and participate in cultural and educational activities, new galleries housing temporary art exhibitions, laboratories in which to process new finds and acquisitions and a state of the art collection store.

Husbands – the project fronted by Danny Davis – has announced Cuatro, their fourth studio album. They share the album’s lead single “Can’t Do Anything” and kick off their North American tour with Goth Babe, before performing at Lollapalooza next month (including an official aftershow with Men I Trust) and joining Wilderado on tour this fall.

As a comedienne, matchmaker, writer, and fitness instructor, Olivia Atwood is pretty busy. ‘Inner Essence’ live art and gallery will present ‘Gods’ an exhibition of new sculpture works by internationally acclaimed Melbourne artist Brett Ashby. WOW! What a fun show! I love some of the crazy lines that just pop up out of nowhere, like “Phil Collins can be kick ass sometimes!” Rock of Ages definitely lived up to its hype, and I was super fortunate to see this production. This well paced show boasted soooo many strong performances, I hardly know where to begin.

Edinburgh Fringe Festival is set to host a hilarious satirical solo play, The Temp, at the renowned Gilded Balloon - Patter Hoose - Snug venue from August 2nd to 12th and 14th to 27th at 13:40.

Brown has elevated his unique folk/songwriter sound by leaning further into a pop sensibility and creating one of his catchiest songs to date. Lima also played bass guitar in the effort. The Atlanta Opera has announced that five creative teams have been selected to participate in the second annual 96-Hour Opera Project, a composition competition and showcase that pairs composers and librettists to write ten-minute operas. Bringing their completed works to Atlanta, the teams will workshop and rehearse their productions over four days from June 9–12, with travel, housing, singers, pianists and rehearsal space provided.

Keep Records has announced their forthcoming EP So Indie It Hurts Vol. 3 is due for release on May 20th. The project continues Keep Records' unique recording series in which they choose one location, concurrent with a tour, to create an entire record start to finish.

Today's subject Sarna Lapine is currently living her theatre life at the directing helm of Signature Theatre's upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim's gothic musical masterpiece Sweeney Todd. The production begins performances on May 16th and will play through July 9th in Signature Theatre's MAX space. It is the fourth time Signature has produced the show, making it Signature Theatre's most produced Sondheim musical overtaking Assassins and Into The Woods with three productions each.
