FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will present a Re-release Party for Drew Gasparini's beloved album I COULD USE A DRINK: THE SONGS OF DREW GASPARINI on Monday, September 9th, 2019 at 7pm and 9:30pm.  Gasparini will be joined by original vocalists from the album including Alex Brightman (Beetlejuice, School of Rock), Kacie Sheik (Hair), Alex Wyse (Waitress, Spring Awakening), and more.

Fountain Hills Theater announces the opening of the extra-ordinary musical by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) Pippin. Pippin will play April 19 - May 5, 2019. American Opera Projects (AOP) announces the return of its popular Composers & the Voice program for its 2019-21 seasons. Created and led by Composers & the Voice Artistic Director Steven Osgood, six composers and up to three librettists will be selected for two-year fellowships to learn the fundamentals of writing for the voice and opera stage. Workshop sessions with professional opera singers, mentors, and instructors are held at AOP's home base in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Applications and complete information will be available beginning March 18 at www.aopopera.org/composers_voice. The deadline for applications is April 26 with fellowships announced by July 16.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the cult classic film Cruel Intentions, producers have announced the casting for the North American tour of the Off-Broadway smash hit CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE '90s MUSICAL. Following sold-out runs in Los Angeles and a critically acclaimed, sold-out run in New York City, the new musical will play Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St) for a limited two week engagement April 2 14, 2019.

Theatrical Outfit will enter a new era when Artistic Director Tom Key exits his longstanding position in June of 2020.  The Theatre's Board of Directors announced Key's plans to retire along with the announcement of the launch of a nationwide search to name his successor by the opening of the 2019-2020 season.

Hartford Stage announced today the cast and creative team for Jeeves & Wooster in "Perfect Nonsense." The Olivier Award-winning comedy from brothers David and Robert Goodale will perform at Hartford Stage Thursday, March 21, through Saturday, April 20. Original director Sean Foley returns to stage the show, which is making its North American premiere at Hartford Stage. Three Broadway actors - Chandler Williams, Arnie Burton, and Eddie Korbich - star in the three-hander.

The Lineup with Susie Mosher is a wild, anything-goes variety show featuring entertainers from the Broadway, cabaret and comedy scenes. Actress/singer Mosher hosts the spontaneous extravaganza with her "dynamite voice, heartfelt observations and ridiculously funny improv." (Go Magazine) 

Walter Stearns, Executive Director of Mercury Theater Chicago, announced today the cast and creative team of the upcoming LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, running on the main stage from March 1 through April 28. The press opening is Sunday, March 10 at 7:30pm. Porchlight Music Theatre continues its "lost" musicals in staged concert series with Porchlight Revisits Can-Can, music and lyrics by Cole Porter and book by Abe Burrows with direction by Adrian Abel Azevedo, musical direction by Linda Madonia and choreography by Shanna VanDerwerker.  Porchlight Revisits Can-Can is presented for three performances-only Wednesday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 7 at 2 p.m. and  7:30 p.m. at The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. As part of its Open Spectrum series, New York Live Arts is hosting a discussion on mental health in the arts community. Moderated by Latina feminist mental health activist Dior Vargas, the panel will include multidisciplinary artist A'Driane Nieves aka addyeB, poet/artist/cultural worker Caits Meissner, writer/photojournalist Loubna Mrie, and professional ballerina/mental health advocate/singer Sydney Magruder Washington. The forum is curated by culture creator/marketing strategist Brian Tate.
