Late last year Dobama invited a dozen or so people to do a series of interviews meant to focus a spotlight on the theatre's 60th anniversary. As an original member of the Dobama community I was one of those honored to be asked to participate. Here is my interview:

For the first time in its 60-plus year history and six productions on Broadway, West Side Story - a musical whose iconic dance scenes have an instant recognizability in both the musical theater world and in culture in general - will not include the original Jerome Robbins and Peter Gennaro choreography. For over 40 years, an unlikely place has been ground zero for the professional development of young singers with their sights set on careers in opera, musical theater and classical music. Central City, Colo., a small mountain town 35 miles west of Denver, is typically known for its mining history and casino resorts. However, during the summer months it becomes a performing arts mecca, with select rising stars traveling to Colorado for the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Artists Training Program during Central City Opera's annual Festival.

Laura Linney, who currently stars on Broadway in My Name is Lucy Barton, is an acclaimed actress of the stage. Linney has also been a staple of the television and film industry for the last 30 years and BroadwayWorld is flashing back to some of Linney's best moments on the screen!
