Musical Theatre Network, Mercury Musical Developments and Oxford Playhouse has announced details of the 29 musicals that will be showcased in BEAM2023.  

The Rewards of Being Frank, currently running through March 26, 2023 at the Mezzanine Theatre at ART/New York Theatres is now available for streaming, also through March 26 only.

C33, a hauntingly beautiful new work by local playwright Alex Bickerstaff, tells the story of Oscar Wilde's downfall through a woven tapestry of historical events and poetic representation of his time in Reading Gaol, the infamous prison where he served two years hard labor for his crime of 'Gross Indecency' alongside violent criminals and death row inmates.

New York Classical Theatre and Cincinnati Shakespeare Company will present the Off-Broadway premiere of the new play The Rewards of Being Frank, written by Alice Scovell and directed by New York Classical’s Stephen Burdman.

Salt Lake Acting Company (SLAC), Utah's leading destination for brave, contemporary theatre, presents the world premiere of FOUR WOMEN TALKING ABOUT THE MAN UNDER THE SHEET by Elaine Jarvik. The new work, which marks Jarvik's third play to receive a New Play Sounding Series reading and, subsequently, a full production at SLAC, will run in the Chapel Theatre March 12 through 22, 2020.

Alger's uplifting message that anyone can pull themselves up "by the bootstraps" feels archaic today, but the discovery of Alger's homosexuality, made long after his death, provides relevant insights to the characters of Skintight.

Dead Writers Theatre Collective opens its 2016 season with a clear look back at the Oscar Wilde classic, The Importance of Being Earnest. It opens July 1 at The Athenaeum Theatre. "It's the perfect choice to launch our 'Mad About The Boy' theme," states Collective Artistic Director Jim Schneider. "We're celebrating the good and bad side of love - all kinds of love. Our other two shows include a cabaret style production of Noel Coward's sophisticated work in Oh, Coward! and a dramatic look at tragic love with The Heiress. All three shows will be considered for a Jeff Award Recommendation."

The 2016 season for the Dead Writers Theatre Collective at the Athenaeum Theatre will include "The Importance of Being Earnest" directed by Jim Schneider on July 1-July 31, "Oh, Coward" directed by Charlie Marie McGrath on August 26--September 18, and "The Heiress" directed by Jim Schneider on August 29-October 23.

In the 2015-16 season, David Mirvish will present 14 shows in Toronto, consisting of seven shows in the Mainstage Subscription Series, three in the Off-Mirvish Subscription Series and four shows off-subscription.
