Dixon Place will present The Village, A Disco Musical! for a limited run engagement opening tonight – Thursday, October 6 – and running through Saturday, October 15. A meta musical comedy filled with high jinx, low kinks, and go-go boys, the show features a cast of ten diverse actors and dancers. 

Comedy is Art returns for a third year, showcasing some of the best comedians in the city and sending a clear message: comedy is an art form that should be taken seriously.

Hailing from Congo-Brazzaville and led by revered vocalist and ngonfi player, Nkibi “Lusialala” Albert, Balka Sound created their own unique musical world, re-imagining traditional Congolese Balka rhythms with electric guitars, electric bass and drums, alongside the traditional 5-string ngonfi.
