For nine days, from the 29th February to the 8th March, Jewish Book Week brings together nearly 200 multi-award winning writers from the worlds of history, theatre, journalism, philosophy, science, art, music, poetry and fiction in a celebration of ideas. The 2020 line-up includes Emma Barnett, Tom Bower, Camilla Cavendish, Gavin Esler, Jonathan Freedland, Nicci Gerrard, Adam Gopnik, Howard Jacobson, Rachel Johnson, Norman Lebrecht, Sue MacGregor, Douglas Murray, Melanie Phillips, Philippe Sands, Marcus du Sautoy, Simon Schama, Tom Segev, Elif Shafak, Martin Rees, Andrew Robinson and Edmund de Waal.

Following the world premiere at Stratford a?"upon-Avon, Kiln Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company today announce the full cast for the London run of A Museum in Baghdad. Director Erica Whyman reunites David Birrell (Professor Leonard Woolley), Houda Echouafni (Layla Hassan), Emma Fielding (Gertrude Bell), Ali Gadema (Kidnapper, Prime Minister), Rendah Heywood (Ghalia Hussein), Zed Josef (Salim), Nadi Kemp-Sayfi (Nasiya), Debbie Korley (Sam York), Riad Richie (Mohammed Abdullah), and Rasoul Saghir (Abu Zaman). The production opens at Kiln Theatre on 28 April, with previews from 22 April, and runs until 23 May.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced further casting for Everything I Ever Wanted to Tell My Daughter About Men, a new black comedy by actor and writer Lorien Haynes, directed by Tara Fitzgerald (Brassed Off, Game of Thrones), being hosted in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse on Thursday 20 February.

As the go-to network for holiday-themed original content and beloved classics, this year's festive lineup includes the premieres of Freeform original feature “Ghosting: The Spirit of Christmas,” with “The Bold Type” star Aisha Dee and “The Guest Book”'s Kimiko Glenn, airing WEDNESDAY, DEC. 4, at 9:00 p.m. EST/PST. “Good Trouble” will air a two-hour holiday episode on MONDAY, DEC. 16, at 9:00 p.m. EST/PST, with the full cast of “The Fosters” guest starring. The Hollywood Film Awards announced today that some of this year's brightest talent from behind the camera will be honored at the 23rd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards.” Writer/Director/Producer Bong Joon Ho will receive the “Hollywood Filmmaker Award” for the Palme d'Or winner “Parasite,” which opened to record-breaking box office and is being hailed by critics as one of the best movies of the year. Emma Tillinger Koskoff, longtime producing partner of Martin Scorsese, will be receiving the “Hollywood Producer Award” for “The Irishman.” Critics have been calling the film a masterpiece since opening the New York Film Festival. It is one of several films Koskoff has produced this year. James Mangold will receive the “Hollywood Director Award” for “Ford v Ferrari,” which already has audiences buzzing with excitement and Anthony McCarten, whose words have paved the way for many award-winning acting turns, will receive the “Hollywood Screenwriter Award” for “The Two Popes.” Actor and comedian Rob Riggle will host the ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.

Carnegie Hall today announced the launch of its new online Digital Collections, inviting the general public to search, explore, and download more than 80,000 recently digitized historic items from its archives for the very first time. This initial preview, drawn from the Hall's legacy collections, offers a window into the richly diverse history of events at the Hall since its opening in 1891, with an emphasis on the Hall's earliest decades. It includes Carnegie Hall concert programs from 1891–1925; flyers; photographs; correspondence; newspaper clippings; autographs; booking ledger pages; and a select number of promotional films. The goal of this digital initiative is to provide broader public access to the Hall's archival collections, providing a new way for people to engage with Carnegie Hall's history and share it with others.

Earlier this year, on April 22, The Phantom of the Opera, reached a milestone that no other Broadway show has even come near. Phantom, the longest-running show in Broadway history, became the first Broadway show EVER to reach #13,000 performances. This is just one of many incredible achievements made by the show since it opened on Broadway over three decades ago.
