With the critically acclaimed production of The Boy Friend currently running at the theatre, the Menier Chocolate Factory today announce the forthcoming two productions a?" the European première of Paula Vogel's Tony Award-winning play Indecent, directed by Rebecca Taichman; and Alan Bennett's Habeas Corpus directed by Patrick Marber, who returns to the Menier following his smash-hit production of Tom Stoppard's Travesties.

Houston Grand Opera (HGO) has selected the semifinalists for the 32nd annual Eleanor McCollum Competition for Young Singers Concert of Arias, to be presented in the Wortham Theater Center on Feb. 7, 2020 at 7 p.m. A limited number of tickets for the performance are available for purchase here. Quixote Nuevo, which received its world premiere at California Shakespeare Company in 2018, is a rich, contemporary, theatrical fable that has been created anew by Solis. Emilio Delgado, who is returning to Quixote Nuevo after originating the titular role, is best known for his 44-year run as beloved repairman Luis on the iconic PBS children's show a?oeSesame Street.a??

Goodspeed Musicals has announced this year's cast of A Connecticut Christmas Carol - the musical treat infused with Connecticut flavor by LJ Fecho and Michael O'Flaherty. Perfect for the holidays, A Connecticut Christmas Carol, the family-friendly take on the Dickens classic, will return to The Terris Theatre December 4 - 28, 2019. This production is supported in part by the Richard P. Garmany Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, Masonicare at Chester Village and GKN Aerospace Services Structures Corporation.

Igniting patriotism from its mostly high school student audience whose occasional exclamations and shrieks during Crisostomo Ibarra and Maria Clara's more intimate moments in the play were, we suppose, uncontainable, Gantimpala Theater Foundation's Kanser, a theatrical adaptation of National Hero Jose Rizal's famous first novel Noli Me Tangere, is back for a limited run. It plays the Star Theatre in Pasay City this Thursday, 3 October.

Huntington Theatre Company announced today the cast and creative team for Quixote Nuevo, a comedic and poetic reimagining of Miguel Cervantes' Don Quixote by award-winning playwright Octavio Solis. Directed by KJ Sanchez and produced in association with Hartford Stage and the Alley Theatre, Quixote Nuevo will begin performances at the Avenue of the Arts/Huntington Avenue Theatre (264 Huntington Ave, Boston) on Friday, November 15, 2019 and will run through Sunday, December 8, 2019.
