BWW Review: Expert Acting in SIVE at BUFFALO'S IRISH CLASSICAL THEATRE

Buffalo's Irish Classical Theatre Company has programmed and produced a gem of a play in their most recent outing, SIVE, by John B. Keane. Such a perfect blend of expert acting and captivating story telling is playing out in a play that would seem to have been exclusively written for this company. But while SIVE is a well known commodity on the other side of the pond, it's relative obscurity in the States allowed Buffalo's audiences to be sucked into the brilliant story. (more...)

Competing against five other outstanding Semi-Finalists, Annie Aitken (Melba, Muriel's Wedding) took out the prestigious award after being chosen by an expert panel of judges, which comprised Kellie Dickerson, Jason Langley, Sharon Millerchip and Guy Simpson. The MTH Theater has announced casting and additional details for its upcoming production of A SPECTACULAR CHRISTMAS SHOW. The original Revue is Directed by Linda Ade Brand with music directed by Mark Ferrell. The entirely Kansas City based company features David Adams, Samantha Agron, Danielle Barger, Lexi Brie, Jerome Johnson, Sicily Mathenia, Jon Rizzo, and Bob Wearing. Chad Henderson Brings Artists From Charleston, Myrtle Beach, And New York City To Trustus Theatre In Season 34

In Trustus Theatre's 34th Season, Trustus Artistic Director Chad Henderson is looking beyond the Midlands to create the outstanding programs housed within the theatre's walls. In 2019, Trustus Theatre is collaborating with four professional theatre artists from Charleston, SC: Sharon Graci (Artistic Director of Pure Theatre), Janine McCabe (College of Charleston Department of Theatre Chair), Erin Wilson (Pure Theatre Core Ensemble Member), and Scott Pattinson (Actors' Equity Association Member, Pure Theatre Core Ensemble Member). The theatre is also bringing back past Trustus Company Member Baxter Engle and Trustus Company Emeritus Steve Harley. Engle is a professional designer who now lives in New York City working with Production Glue, a live event company. Sirota, it is directed by Clint Hromsco and produced by John Lant, Write Act Repertory and Tamra Pica. BWW Review: Marvelous Memories Arrive with CTC's HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS

Where will a holiday memory be made this season? Somewhere near Whoville staged at Children's Theatre Company (CTC)? The illustrious CTC opened their musical extravaganza' 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' penned by the iconic Dr. Seuss beginning in 1994, and reprises the production from last season. While Theo Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, created the story in 1957, CTC envisioned a production to touch any young heart despite the actual chronological age. The production's book and lyrics by Timothy Mason together with music by Mel Marvin continue to delight audiences these past 20 years since the musical's inception--and all the memories the production has created in that span of time through the years.
