St. Ann's Warehouse will present the U.S. Premiere of The Jungle, the immensely acclaimed Good Chance Theatre co-production with the National Theatre and Young Vic. Currently opening a five-month run at London's Playhouse Theatre on the West End, The Jungle comes to St. Ann's beginning December 4, 2018.

Dimo Kim Musical Theatre Factory, a new theatre company providing more roles for Asian American actors has announced that it will present the Off-Broadway revival of COMFORT WOMEN: A NEW MUSICAL written by South Korean Theater Director Dimo Hyun Jun Kim, Osker David Aguirre, and Joann Malory Miese with music by Bryan Michaels and TaeHo Park on Friday, July 20th through Sunday, September 2nd in the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre (416 West 42nd Street). The official opening will be on Friday, July 27th. The production is supported by the Korean Council for the Women Drafted for Military Sexual Slavery by Japan.

The Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University (CBA), the first international institute devoted to the creation and academic study of ballet, today announced the 27 artists and scholars who will serve as CBA Fellows in the 2018-19 academic year. The group - which represents The Center's largest and most far-reaching cohort yet - features distinguished individuals in a range of disciplines, including scholar Cecile Feza Bushidi, lighting designer Brandon Stirling Baker, choreographer Chase Brock, choreographer, filmmaker, and dancer Pontus Lidberg, and scholar Janice Ross, among others.

Dimo Kim Musical Theatre Factory's 'Comfort Women: A New Musical,' which premiered at Theatre at St. Clements 2015, is making an Off-Broadway revival at Playwrights Horizons from July 20th until September 2nd, 2018. During its first run, 'Comfort Women: A New Musical' was nominated for the Best Off-Broadway Musical by BroadwayWorld and has received critical acclaim for shedding a light on the untold story of 'comfort women.'

Americans have spoken, and it's no surprise they have strong opinions when it comes to comfort food preferences. According to a national survey conducted by Sara Lee, makers of delicious bread, buns, rolls and breakfast products including Artesano Bread pizza reigns supreme as the No. 1 comfort food in the country, with more than half of Americans identifying it as their go-to comfort food while burgers hold the number two spot. The survey also revealed that grilled cheese ranks as one of the top 10 dishes and Americans are evenly split in how they define comfort food: 50 percent are on team sweet with most craving chocolate and the other half think comfort food should be a savory dish.

Texas Christian University's School of Music is proud to present the world premiere of a new opera, The Falling and the Rising, by contemporary artistic duo Zach Redler, composer, and Jerre Dye, librettist. The new opera paints a powerful portrait of the incredible resiliency, fortitude and heroism of our nation's wounded warriors, and is the culmination of a large-scale project commissioned by TCU together with the Arizona Opera, San Diego Opera, Opera Memphis, Seagle Music Colony, Seattle Opera and the U.S. Department of Defense. A product of the TCU School of Music's dedication to commissioning new music, The Falling and the Rising will premiere at 7 p.m. April 6 at Ed Landreth Hall and Auditorium and run for five performances.

The 'Movies That Matter with Hal Conklin' film series continues with Hidden Figures, on Monday, February 19th, at 7:00 pm at The Granada Theatre. The Jurkowitz Center for Community Engagement is pleased to partner with the Martin Luther King Jr. Committee of Santa Barbara for the screening of this next film in the beloved "Movies that Matter" series. Series moderator Hal Conklin will be joined by E. Onja Brown-Lawson, President of the Board of Directors of the Martin Luther King Jr. Committee of Santa Barbara, for a pre-screening discussion with special guest First Lieutenant Victoria Foster of Vandenberg Air Force Base.
