Continuing a Halloween-season tradition that resumed in 2013, shortly after the opening of the historic New Hope venue, Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) will once again present its popular production of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show for an extended run beginning Friday, October 13 through Sunday, October 29. Bucks County Playhouse's Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Alexander Fraser and Producers Stephen Kocis and Joshua Fiedler announced final casting for the production, which features direction by Hunter Foster (BCP's Clue: On Stage and Guys and Dolls ) with choreography by Lorin Latarro (BCP's Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story and Broadway's Waitress ).

George Street Playhouse today announced the full cast for an new, updated version of the off-Broadway hit musical, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, with book and lyrics by Playhouse favorite Joe DiPietro (Memphis, Nice Work if You Can Get It) and music by Jimmy Roberts (The Thing About Men, The Velveteen Rabbit). Karen Burthwright (Broadway's Jesus Christ Superstar), Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Broadway's Lysistrata Jones, Legally Blonde and Hairspray), Mitchell Jarvis (Broadway's Rock of Ages, GSP world premiere of Gettin' the Band Back Together) and George Merrick (Broadway's Honeymoon in Vegas, South Pacific and High Fidelity; Off-Broadway's Clever Little Lies) star in the inaugural production at George Street Playhouse's new, interim venue at 103 College Farm Road on the Cook Campus of Rutgers University. Performances run Oct. 10-Nov. 12, 2017, with Opening Night set for Friday, October 13.

Broadway In Boston announced today that tickets for the upcoming Boston engagement of THE WIZARD OF OZ, will go on sale to the public on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Babes With Blades Theatre Company (BWBTC) launches its 20th Anniversary Season: "Origins" with its 20th world premiere The Invisible Scarlet O'Neil, playing at the Factory Theater, 1623 W. Michael Rader, Producing Artistic Director of The Cape Playhouse, today announced the 2018 summer line-up for the historic Playhouse's 92nd season. The six-play schedule will feature three plays and three musicals-including three Playhouse premieres-in a season featuring Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning shows and the New England premiere of an exciting new production of the classic movie Clue. 

How do you take hundreds of kids (ages 7 to 17) and put up over a dozen shows (mostly musicals, plus a few plays) in as little as three weeks, with rehearsals limited to maybe just 12 or 13 days, with all or most of the cast rehearsing just slightly more than two hours each day, and many campers working on multiple shows at once? And I'm talking about completely staged shows with full production values, including sets, lighting, sound, costumes and live orchestras. Not only that, imagine repeating this same frenzied process four times over the course of a single summer.
