A new Broadway season has officially begun! Two Broadway shows (Into the Woods and The Kite Runner) have already kicked off the 2022/23 theatre season this summer and a whole lot more are on the way. As the weather starts to cool, get ready for 15 (and counting) new productions, which will take their first Broadway bows this autumn. What are the best shows on Broadway this fall...?

The Wooster Group will present their newest production, Get Your Ass in the Water and Swim Like Me, an original work for theater that explores a distinctive genre of Black American storytelling called Toasts, September 16-October 8, 2022, at the Group’s home, The Performing Garage, in New York City.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Fresh from a two-month tour of Europe, Grammy-nominated Brother Dege (Django Unchained original soundtrack | “Too Old to Die Young”) returns to the U.S. to launch an intimate solo tour. Dege will be diving deep into his catalog of dark, southern, Delta blues songcraft full of dreamy Dobros, Deep South psychedelia, and raw Delta-blues.

Ronald K. Brown / EVIDENCE will return to Jacob’s Pillow in Week 2 of the Dance Festival this year from June 29-July 3. The company will perform several works, including the world premiere of The Equality of Night and Day, with noted jazz composer Jason Moran playing live for each performance.

Second Stage Theater has announced casting for the upcoming world premiere production of 53% OF. The production will feature ANNA CRIVELLI, EDEN MALYN, MARIANNA McCLELLAN, GRACE REX, CATHRYN WAKE, and AYANA WORKMAN.

New York Classical Theatre has announced casting for Shakespeare’s romantic adventure Cymbeline, directed by Stephen Burdman. The production will be presented from June 14 to July 10, 2022 at public parks in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The renowned Kronos Quartet today releases the world premiere recording of Mỹ Lai, the acclaimed opera composed by Jonathan Berger with libretto by Harriet Scott Chessman, on Smithsonian Folkways Recordings.
