The Pacific Standard Time Festival: Live Art LA/LA is a celebration of art and performance presented as part of the Getty-led initiative Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA. Organized by REDCAT, CalArts' Downtown Center for Contemporary Arts, in collaboration with partner organizations throughout greater Los Angeles, the 11-day festival will feature more than 75 works by Latin American and Latino artists, performed at more than 25 indoor and outdoor spaces. Portland Stage is pleased to present Babette's Feast, running Jan 23 through Feb 18 on the Mainstage. This production of Babette's Feast was conceived and developed by Portland Stage Affiliate Artist Abigail Killeen in a process that began over a decade ago. Boston Calling, one of the city's most iconic events and one of the world's largest metropolitan music festivals, announces its 2018 lineup today. The internationally acclaimed and locally grown music festival returns for its ninth edition and will take place for the second consecutive year at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston (65 North Harvard Street, Boston) on Memorial Day Weekend, May 25 - 27, 2018. Headlined by Eminem, The Killers, and Jack White, Boston Calling 2018 will deliver over 54 performances from musicians, bands, and comedians across its three stages and the festival's indoor arena. Adding to the excitement, Academy Award-winning actress, producer and director Natalie Portman is confirmed to curate and host a series of special programming at this year's festival. Congregation Rodeph Shalom, in association with Burke Cohen Entertainment, presents seven time Emmy Award winner Ed Asner and two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee Johanna Day in a one-night only performance of Jeff Cohen's powerful play The Soap Myth on Wednesday, January 31st at 7 pm at Congregation Rodeph Shalom, (615 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia). The play, directed by Pam Berlin, is part of a tribute to the United Nation's International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27), the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
