Seven Dials Playhouse has announced the 2026 recipients of its artist development programs, FIRST STEPS and NEXT STEP. These initiatives, now in their second year, provide theatre-makers with paid development time, rehearsal space, and more.

The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will present Red Firecrackers at Hostos Community College in the Bronx. This performance, led by Artistic Director Greta Campo, celebrates Chinese Lunar New Year traditions through dance, music, and storytelling.

Pop Royalty BTS will make their long-awaited return to the global stage with their world tour spanning 2026-2027. Set to be the biggest global K-pop tour of all time, the run will span 34 regions and 79 shows.

Comedian Jo Koy will return to the stage at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on April 10, 2026. Tickets for the event are now on sale offering fans a chance to see the popular comedian live.

Long Beach Opera will present the bold Crash Out Queens: A Tiffany Townsend Recital on January 31 at 7:30pm and February 1 at 4pm,, developed in close collaboration with the company at the Altar Society, 230 Pine Avenue in Long Beach.  

Comedian Nikki Glaser's The Stunning Tour is making 29 stops across Europe and North America beginning in June, including The Kentucky Center in Louisville.

In January of 2026, 54 Below will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond, including Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, Matthew Morrison and many more. 

Cellist Alisa Weilerstein will join Palm Beach Symphony for the Masterworks Series Concert at Dreyfoos Hall at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach.

It wasn’t until later on in theatre history that revivals began including shows that weren’t initially well received or financially successful in their initial engagements. As musical theatre continued to evolve, and more shows entered the canon, a consensus began to grow about shows being worthy of additional exploration even if they hadn’t been hits the first time around. What about musicals that had been ahead of their time, musicals that had fallen prey to circumstances, early works by writers who became successful later on, and of course, shows that found an audience after closing via their cast recordings?

We had the opportunity to interview Dana Zell who has served as the Managing Director of CMT for the past 10 years.

This new approach to the storytelling of Hadestown helped make me appreciate some of the compromises on the tour. And to further appreciate what they still maintained from the first tour and Broadway production. The set’s slightly modified (Hades’ door is more centered, for one), but we get to keep the band onstage. We get that dingy café feeling through the layout. We hold on to the iconic props – the rose, the candle, the guitar, the lamps – as well as the steampunk design of the costumes. The Workers are still a core five that inhabit both worlds and create their own, unspoken storylines through their movement and couplings. And the characters themselves are still the same, timeless figures that make Hadestown always feel like a new experience every time.

'For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo.' It's a classic tale, one that has been told hundreds of thousands of times and one that theatre kids everywhere know well. But you likely have not seen Romeo and Juliet quite like this. The costumes are vibrant, the choreography is exhilirating, the voices are powerful, and the story... there is quite the twist in the story. 

Moving Holiday docu-musical, All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 will come back to Boise Contemporary Theater [BCT] for a third time in cooperation with Opera Idaho and poses the question, “Could it really have happened like this?'

The iconic rock musical Hair is back in a bold new Brazilian production directed by Charles Möeller and Claudio Botelho. Opening at São Paulo’s BTG Pactual Hall, the show celebrates the spirit of the 1960s counterculture — peace, love, and rebellion — through powerful anthems like Aquarius and Let the Sunshine In. With a cast of 30 led by Rodrigo Simas and Eduardo Borelli, this vibrant staging fuses rock, poetry, and raw emotion to explore freedom, identity, and protest in a turbulent era. Nearly six decades after its debut, Hair still pulses with youthful defiance and idealism, inviting audiences to sing, reflect, and feel the rhythm of a revolution that never truly ended.

This month, the Arts Club presents a fresh production of Disney’s FROZEN at the Stanley BFL Canada Stage in Vancouver, BC. The production runs from October 30, 2025 to January 4, 2026, and arrives as one of the company’s largest family titles of the season! This version places the spotlight on the bond between two sisters who face fear, change, and responsibility in different ways. FROZEN blends magic, powerful music, and an emotional story that speaks to audiences of all ages.
