Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater has announced the jazz programming running February 28 through March 12. 

Philadelphia Ballet presents Angel Corella's The Sleeping Beauty, the beloved tale of magic and romance. With choreography by Corella, The Ruth & A. Morris Williams, Jr. Artistic Director, and a grand and sweeping score by Tchaikovsky, The Sleeping Beauty runs ten performances at the Academy of Music, March 2-12.

Skylight Music Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for the hilarious comedy Noises Off, with music by Combustible Edison, running March 17 – April 2, 2023 at Skylight's beautiful Cabot Theatre in the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Jeffery Lando's “psychedelic independent film,” LISSA’S TRIP, boldly incorporates new AI technologies and reflects dramatically on the individual’s quest for purpose in a milieu that challenges one’s relevance. Making his Tafelmusik debut this season as guest director is harpsichordist Francesco Corti, “a powerhouse of unbridled vivacity, exciting and excitable in equal measure” (BBC Music Magazine). Corti leads the orchestra in Bach's Library, a fascinating program of music by J. S. Bach and those who inspired him, including Steffani, Hasse, and Zelenka—composers whose manuscripts would have been part of his personal library.

Musicus Society celebrated their tenth anniversary season of Musicus Fest, which featured eleven concerts over four weekends from 5 to 26 November 2022, throughout the city of Hong Kong.

Spacey Jane returned back to their homeland last December after their sold out North American tour. It was a huge result for a band who have never played on US shores before. With demand so high, it means we’ll be seeing a lot more of Spacey Jane in America to come. First up will be Shaky Knees festival in Atlanta, with festival dates to follow.

If 2020 was the year theatre ground to a halt and 2021 was when it nervously found its legs again (only to fall over occasionally), then 2022 was when it blasted back to some kind of normal with many pandemic-delayed shows finally seeing the inside of a venue.

The Chicago Philharmonic Society has announced the addition of four dynamic new members to the organization's Board of Directors. 

Every once in awhile I go to a concert and say “Wow! He/She is very talented but is trying too hard to win over the audience”. That was my impression after watching one of the stars of the current Broadway revival of Into The Woods Joshua Henry this past Saturday night at Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater.
