In 'The Life of a Showgirl,' Taylor Swift is tapping into a rich history of showbiz and glamor from days gone by. As we prepare for Swift’s new album, which arrives in October, we have compiled a list of some of the brightest Broadway showgirls that Mackie has costumed over the years, from Barbra Streisand to Bernadette Peters.

In celebration of 90 years of Theatre By The Sea, owner and producer Bill Hanney have announced a Big Barn Bash featuring TBTS alumni, which will take place at the historic barn theatre on Monday, August 21, 2023.

The Shaw Festival’s 2023 season is continuing with Bernard Shaw’s The Apple Cart and Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit. Each begin previews on June 13 and June 14, respectively.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret. TCM is once again partnering with Ball State University and Canvas to offer a free online multimedia course tied to this programming special about the history of the musical genre and its evolution with cultural and technological shifts. She is looking forward to a rare four days alone on her Iowa farm as her family heads to the 1965 Indiana State Fair when ruggedly handsome, National Geographic photographer Robert Kincaid pulls into her driveway seeking directions. What happens in those next four days may very well alter the course of Francesca's life.

Tony-winner Kelli O'Hara will star in a concert staging of the Lerner and Loewe classic BRIGADOON at New York's City Center.

Two-time Tony Award winner Helen Gallagher has joined the cast of the previously announced 70, Girls, 70 concert at FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club. Ms. Gallagher, who will serve as the evening's narrator, joins a starry cast of Broadway veterans in the 1971 Kander and Ebb-tuner, set for April 17th, 2017 at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit The Lillian Booth Actor's Home.

HB Studio, one of New York's most venerable institutions for theater training and practice, will honor cherished Broadway, film and television actress Helen Gallagher on Monday, July 18th for her 90th Birthday in a musical celebration benefiting the HB Studio Scholarship Fund.

In 'Radio Mystery 1949 ' by Dennis Richard, a post-WWII radio murder mystery is outdone by real-life drama when a mysterious actor carries what may or may not be a bomb into a sound stage during a live performance. The nail-biting production is directed by Richmond Shepard. Clarion Theatre, John P. Greene and Fae Simmons will present the piece tonight, September 15 to 26 at the Clarion Theatre, 309 East 26th Street, Manhattan.
