As celebrations continue for the 400th Anniversary of the First Folio across 2023, Shakespeare’s Globe will return to Westminster Abbey for the hugely popular Shakespeare in the Abbey for six special performances beginning this evening and running until Friday 31 March.

San Francisco Opera has released production photos of Francis Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelties (Dialogues des Carmélites) at the War Memorial Opera House, running October 15–30. Caroline H. Hume Music Director Eun Sun Kim conducts the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Chorus and soloists in this powerful, 20th-century masterwork in the acclaimed production by French director Olivier Py. The Handel and Haydn Society will kick off the holiday season with the glorious tradition of performing Handel Messiah at Symphony Hall. Always animated, Václav Luks, artistic director of Prague's Collegium 1704, will conduct the orchestra and chorus for H+H's 169th consecutive year performing the treasured celebration.

Paradise Now! a funny and raging new play about ambition, exploitation, and kinship in a world that wants to keep us strangers, opens at the Bush Theatre on 2 December (press night 8 December).  This new Bush Theatre commission by Margaret Perry (Collapsible) is an exciting collaboration with director Jaz Woodcock-Stewart (Civilisation) and features an all-female ensemble cast.
