Winston Churchill was one of the 20th century’s towering political figures – a British statesman, military officer, and prime minister of the United Kingdom during World War II in 1940–45, and again in 1951–55, who spent over six decades as a member of the British parliament.

The Times Square Church, located on 51st Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue, is an extremely storied New York City spot. The Colburn School's Ziering-Conlon Initiative for Recovered Voices,  a unique Colburn resource that encourages greater awareness and more frequent performances of music by composers whose careers and lives were destroyed by the Nazi regime, brings important repertory back to life through four upcoming performances that feature the works of Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Arnold Schoenberg, Franz Schreker, Alexander von Zemlinsky, and Herbert Zipper.

Instead of introducing one tune, the vibrant and lucent vocalist releases three full EPs (six songs each) from January to March in anticipation of the April 14 release of her fourth CD, RETRO Trilogy on Allegato Music. '1977,' the first of the three EPs, was released in January, the second EP '1988' in March and '1999' is available now.

It has been reported that two different Fred Astaire biopics are currently in the works. To make matters even more complicated, both actors playing Astaire on the big screen, Jamie Bell and Tom Holland, have played the title role in Billy Elliot in the past. BroadwayWorld has compiled everything we know about each of them so far.

Arcola Theatre, led by Artistic Director Mehmet Ergen, and Executive Producer, Leyla Nazli, has announced the reopening of Studio 2 for the first time since the pandemic, and the initial programming for that space which includes three transfers from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe: The Mistake, Afghanistan Is Not Funny and VERMIN.

Vanguard University's department of theatre arts will present the musical adaptation of the 1940's Christmas movie classic, Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn. The production is presented in the Lyceum Theater on the Vanguard University campus, beginning November 18th, 2022 and running three weekends through December 11th.
