The Playwrights Realm (Founding Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Producing Director Roberta Pereira) will presents the 2020 INK'D Festival of New Plays, showcasing new works by this year's Realm Writing Fellows Tanya Everett, Maya Macdonald, Tasha Gordon-Solmon, and Christopher Reyes (February 24-27). 12-times multi-platinum rock band SKILLET are returning to the road in North America this winter in support of their tenth album Victorious, out now. The band will embark on a headline trek, dubbed the 'Victorious Tour,' which kicks off on February 6 in Wichita, Kansas and runs through March 14 in Norfolk, Virginia, as exclusively revealed by Loudwire. Joining Skillet for this tour will be From Ashes to New and Ledger, the latter of which features Skillet drummer Jen Ledger. Skillet are fresh off back-to-back, Fall 2019 co-headline North American tours with Sevendust and Alter Bridge, respectively. The band just wrapped a sold-out headline tour of Europe, as well.

Today Keen Company Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced his plans for Keen's Playwrights Lab, including readings from this year's participants as well as the playwrights for the 2020 Lab.

New Village Arts presents AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, written by Laura Eason, from the novel by Jules Verne. Directed by NVA Executive Artistic Director Kristianne Kurner, this production will feature original music from San Diego's own Pirate-themed folk-rock band, The Shantyannes (Joseph Freeman and Renee Moreno), with arrangements by Tony Houck, who also serves as Music Director for the production. This is an exciting, witty, and action-packed new adaptation of the classic story.

In The Works is be presented monthly and feature three composers or composer teams, each presenting about 20 minutes of new material. This month features the works of composers: Seth Christenfeld, Sophie Danis Oberfield & Fernanda Douglas, and Kyle Segar & David Kornfeld. Special Guest: Amy Engelhardt. Hosted by: Thomas Honeck.

Last night, Alice Merton's The Voice of Germany contestant, Claudia Emmanuela Santoso won the season. This victory marks the first time in The Voice of Germany's nine seasons that a female coach had the winning contestant. Prior to her victory, Merton and Santoso sang an original single Alice had written for her entitled, 'Goodbye.'  Santoso won the contest with a whopping 46% of the vote against four other competitors. Santoso is the third international contestant to win in the show's history.

Second Stage Theater (Carole Rothman, President and Artistic Director; Casey Reitz, Executive Director) has announced Ben McKenzie (Ben) will complete the cast of Bess Wohl's GRAND HORIZONS. The production will mark his Broadway debut.

But, has it ever really been understood what really goes on in a cat's mind? Do we really understand cats? Is it ever possible? T.S. Eliot adored cats and because of that, wrote Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. This was the inspiration behind Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS. This acclaimed and beloved musical is currently playing in San Antonio, Texas at the Majestic Theatre and opening night proved to the audience that the story of CATS continues to entertain and enthrall theater goers.

Global superstar Josh Groban Returns To The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 8 p.m. The acclaimed performer, who was unable to schedule Florida tour stops during his last sold-out Bridges tour, will be performing several intimate shows throughout the state in early 2020. Groban was the featured performer at the 2016 Van Wezel Foundation Gala.
