BroadwayWorld has learned that real-life married couple Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker will come to Broadway in Neil Simon's Plaza Suite following an out of town run at Boston's Colonial Theatre - where the 1968 production also originated, before a 17 week run on Broadway at the Hudson Theatre with previews set to being in March. The production will be directed by John Benjamin Hickey.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre (KCRep), announced the full schedule for this season's popular Monday Night Playwright Series, which opened with BURIED ROOTS, its first play of the series, on Monday. The series features a line-up of new and returning playwrights including Michelle Tyrene Johnson, Darren Canady, James Still, Migdalia Cruz, Mashuq Mushtaq Deen and Ellen McLaughlin. These free public events take place on the UMKC campus at the Spencer Theatre Donor Lounge.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Beautiful: The Carole King Musical will end its Broadway run this fall. BEAUTIFUL began performances at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Nov. 21, 2013, and officially opened on Jan. 12, 2014. So, by the time the beloved musical ends its run, it will have run on Broadway for nearly six years.

Per la seconda volta, James Corden sara il presentatore di questa serata, dopo aver ricevuto un Emmy Award per la sua performance nel 2016. Il 30 aprile, Bebe Neuwirth e Brandon Victor Dixon hanno annunciato i nomi delle opere teatrali (play e musical) in diretta streaming.
Noi di BroadwayWorld non stiamo piu nella pelle! Ma soprattutto non possiamo stare con le mani in mano e, per il bene comune, vogliamo parlarvi un po' dei protagonisti di quest'anno: attori e spettacoli per lo piu poco noti in Italia ma che rappresentano, senza ombra di dubbio, il meglio di questa nuova stagione di Broadway. National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, announces its 88th Rolling World Premiere (RWP): Annie Jump and the Library of Heaven by Reina Hardy. The Roll begins tonight in Milwaukee, WI at Renaissance Theaterworks (March 29 - April 21, 2019). Next, it will head to Washington, D.C. and Rorschach Theatre (April 19 - May 19, 2019), then to Austin, TX and The VORTEX (April 2020), before concluding in Ridgefield, CT at Thrown Stone (July 2020).
