The Muny announced today that Grammy Award-winner Nathan Lee Graham will play the title role in The Wiz. Starring alongside Graham will be Jared Grimes as Scarecrow, Mykal Kilgore as Lion and James T. Lane as Tinman. In its first Muny staging in 36 years, The Wiz is the second production of the historic outdoor theatre's centennial season. The Wiz is directed by Denis Jones and choreographed by Camille A. Brown with music direction by Darryl Archibald. The Wiz is proudly sponsored by Wells Fargo Advisors.

The Muny announced today the leading trio that will star in the theatre's centennial season production of Singin' in the Rain, June 27 - July 3. Broadway, film and television stars Corbin Bleu and Jeffrey Schecter will portray Don Lockwood and Cosmo Brown, respectively, and former Muny Kid, Muny Teen and Indiana University student Berklea Going will star as Kathy Selden. Actress and singer, Gay Marshall, celebrates the genius of Leonard Cohen in Back on Boogie Street at Pangea in New York City this April. Marshall, considered a premiere interpreter of the music of Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel, was drawn to Cohen "by the glorious variety of melodies and messages in his music" says Marshall. Gold created Leg Up On Life wanting to create a platform for artists together of all styles to get their works out to the public while raising money for a phenomenal organizations. The musical, with a score by Stephen Schwartz and book and lyrics by Schwartz and assorted collaborators, originally debuted on Broadway in 1978, where it flopped rather spectacularly. It's a Chorus Line-esque collection of stories based on interviews with workers from across America, from housewives to teachers to craftsmen and more.
