This past Thursday at Broadway Sessions we were joined by cast members and the composer of Broadway's The Lightning Thief! We had such an incredible time with Rob Rokicki, Amanda Flynn, Sarah Beth Pfeifer, T. Shyvonne Stewart, and Izzy Figueroa. Our two Rising Stars were the amazing Torri Bouslough and Savannah Lobel. Drew Wutke was our FANTASTIC guest pianist for the evening and it was such a fun time for all involved.

Charlotte's Off Broadway (Anne Lambert, producer) announced today that rush tickets are now available for the remaining performances of the Off-Broadway premiere of Confidence (and The Speech), the new play, written by Susan Lambert Hatem and directed by Hannah Ryan (Hamilton, An American in Paris) which is playing a limited engagement at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street a?" between 9th & 10th Avenues). Previews began on November 14 and the show had an official opening on November 20, 2019. Performances will continue through December 7, 2019. Rush Tickets priced at $20 (cash only) are available at the Theatre Row box office (410 West 42nd Street) one (1) hour prior to performance.

The Penguin Project is a national program that empowers children with special needs through theatre. The Playhouse will hold an informational meeting for interested students and parents on May 14, 2020. Marking the 150th anniversary of 'the biggest hoax in history,' IndieWorks Theatre Company, Inc., in association with Visceral Entertainment, presents The Giant Hoax a new musical based upon the true(?) story of New York's famous Cardiff Giant, with book, music and lyrics by Kit Goldstein Grant, choreography by Molly Model, music direction by Jonathon Lynch and orchestrations by Mark Brymer. Christopher Michaels directs a cast of 13, including Paul Aguirre*, Mary Albert, Henry Fin Berry, Greg Carter*, Sarah Chiu, Yvette Monique Clark*, Jianzi Colón-Soto, Daniel Moser*, Robyne Parrish*, Kevin Riddagh, Staci Stout, Ben Tostado*, and Forest VanDyke*. Sixteen performances will be staged on a varying scheduling at Theatre Row's Theatre One (formerly The Lion Theatre) 410 West 42nd Street in New York City from November 19-December 7, 2019. The Giant Hoax is recommended for ages six and up.
