Los Angeles-based Latino Theater Company has been awarded a $5 million grant from national and local foundations to spearhead the National Latinx Theater Initiative. This new re-granting program aims to boost the national profile of Latinx theater companies and nurture artistic voices in a post-pandemic landscape.

Funny Girl gets a Brazilian production directed by Barchilon, starring Giulia Nadruz and Eriberto Leao as protagonists. With score by J. Styne, and lyrics by B. Merrill, the semi-biographical plot is based on the life and career of comedian and Broadway star Fanny Brice, featuring her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nick Arnstein.

The mainstage season at Bristol Riverside Theatre (BRT) (120 Radcliffe  Street, Bristol, PA 19007) kicks off with the iconic Charles Ludlam comedy-camp-suspense-satire play The  Mystery of Irma Vep. The Colburn School and the American Viola Society has announced the 17th Primrose International Viola Competition, taking place June 17-22, 2024 at Colburn School's Zipper Hall.

UCI Jack and Shanaz Langson Institute and Museum of California Art (Langson IMCA) will present a new exhibition featuring the work of influential artists who were part of a creative community active in the early 1900s along the banks of the Arroyo Seco in Los Angeles County, California. Bohemian of the Arroyo Seco: Idah Meacham Strobridge is the first exhibition exploring the impact this pioneering gallerist and writer had on the development of Los Angeles culture during this period.
