Adding to the previously announced programming for this week, the Seattle Symphony presents three rebroadcasts of Rimksy-Korsakov's Scheherazade (movements 3 and 4), led by guest conductor and Incoming Music Director of the Toronto Symphony Gustavo Gimeno. Originally performed on December 1, 2018, Scheherazade displays the power of stories in a musical depiction of the middle eastern tale: One Thousand and One Nights.
Interactive Arts Education Now Online For Puget Sound Youth

Village Theatre will provide a safe and engaging space for Puget Sound children and teens to learn and grow this summer. Although the theatre's critically acclaimed mainstage productions are postponed indefinitely due to social distancing orders, the theatre's Youth Education program, KIDSTAGE, will allow students entering Pre-K to age 20 an opportunity to participate in arts-based learning beginning June 6, 2020.

Seattle Symphony Invites Students To Sing And Play Along To Link Up Broadcast

Every spring since 2012, Seattle Symphony's Link Up education program, a partnership with Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute, sees over 10,000 students from more than 100 Puget Sound schools arrive at Benaroya Hall to play along with the orchestra. The hands-on Link Up curriculum culminates in a concert where students are invited to sing and play along with the orchestra, performing selections students have practiced throughout the school year.
