By: Oct. 05, 2011

The second annual Heineken City Arts Fest is fast approaching (October 20-22). The festival boasts an impressive array of music performances, interdisciplinary art showcases, exhibitions & events with over 175 critically acclaimed artists from both local and national stages, and held in over 20 venues throughout the city of Seattle. The full festival grid is now available for viewing/download at http://www.cityartsfest.com/grid/caf-grid.pdf.

The Fasbacks will no longer appear with Mudhoney at Neumos on Saturday October 22. Full refunds on individual tickets for this show -- at point of purchase. Support for this show will now come from Hot Bodies In Motion. With regard to Grease movie sing-a-longs at SIFF Cinema on Saturday October 22, we incorrectly listed times for the screenings. The times for these screenings are now 4pm (matinee) and 7pm(evening).

Specially discounted wristbands are still available. All access festival wristbands -- and staggered performance schedules -- allow festival attendees to see multiple bands and headliners in the same night. Wristbands get you into all shows throughout the 3-day festival.

Heineken City Arts Fest is produced by City Arts, a multimedia company that produces a free monthly magazine that covers music, arts and urban life in the Puget Sound area as well as events throughout the year. The festival sold 23,000 tickets in its inaugural year, with featured performances from the likes of Belle and Sebastian, She & Him, Cat Power and more. Recent City Arts covers have featured Seattle artists Macklemore, Shabazz Palaces and Head & the Heart. Heineken City Arts Fest aims to provide a different festival experience that embraces the indoor, urban lifestyle synonymous with the 9 month NW rainy season and captures the curatorial aesthetic of the monthly magazine. City Arts Magazine is owned and operated by Encore Media Group, a family-owned, Northwest-based publishing company. More information at http://www.cityartsonline.com.
