EDGE Improv to Honor Life of Founding Member with ALL ABOUT FRANK Image

Founding member of The EDGE Improv, Frank Buxton, passed peacefully on January 2. He was a steady source of laughter and inspiration at Bainbridge Performing Arts for nearly 25 years and will be sorely missed by BPA's board, staff, patrons, and community of artisans. His spirit will continue to guide us with humor, humanity, and wisdom - and this Saturday's EDGE Improv show will be ALL ABOUT FRANK. Please join us for a special tribute performance as his wacky improv friends send him off with love and laughter.

To honor Frank's legacy of generosity, all remaining tickets to this weekend's (January 6) performance will be free of charge. Donations to the Hot Dog! Fund will be gratefully accepted at the door. Free tickets are now available on the BPA website (www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org) and through the box office at 206.842.8569. Seating is very limited, and advanced reservations are strongly recommended to ensure your seats.

For more than two laughter-filled decades, The EDGE Improv has delivered ingeniously improvised first-Saturday evenings of on-the-spot comedy, all from audience suggestions. The troupe performs to sell-out crowds regularly at BPA where the troupe's gambols and shenanigans have earned a devoted community of followers seeking respite from life's wearisome routines and worries.

The EDGE troupe members include Ken Ballenger, John Ellis, Todd Erler, Cynthia Lair, Susan MacPherson, Bhama Roget, Andrew Shields, Chris Soldevilla, and Matty Whitman.

Visit www.theedgeimprov.com for video clips from past shows and visit The EDGE at www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org for tickets, bios, upcoming performances and more.

The EDGE Improv appears at BPA January 6, with shows First Saturdays all year at 7:30 p.m. Patrons are requested to arrive no later than 7:20 p.m. prior to each performance.

The Hot Dog! Fund, founded by Frank Buxton and Cynthia Sears, is held at the Bainbridge Community Foundation and benefits the artistic and capital excellence of Bainbridge Performing Arts. For more information, visit www.bainbridgebcf.org.

BPA is supported, in part, by Bainbridge Community Foundation and One Call for All. Bainbridge Performing Arts is pleased to offer an "Open Doors" program. Free and reduced-cost tickets to most events are available to community members in need through our partner Helpline House thanks to grants from BCF, the Mabee Family Foundation, and the Alder Fund at the Bainbridge Community Foundation. Please contact the BPA Box Office at 206.842.8569 or Helpline House to reserve tickets today.
