The Barber of Seville Encounter is an immersive event presented by San Francisco Opera as part of its popular Encounter series. Following Act I of The Barber of Seville, audiences emerge from the theater into the Opera House's transformed lobby and hallway spaces for an exploration of the opera's themes of disguise, young love, and playful scheming. The event features Justin Austin as Figaro, Hongni Wu as Rosina, Jack Swanson as Count Almaviva, and Patrick Carfizzi as Doctor Bartolo, among others. The event is part opera and part party, recommended for audiences ages 21 and over.
