As You Like It will be featured alongside Macbeth in the 2024 "Shakespeare in the Park(ing Lot)" season at the Jacobethan Theatre Workshop. Directed by Lukas Raphael, the production presents a fast-paced adaptation of the romantic comedy set in the 1910s, where Rosalind and her cousin Celia navigate the Forest of Arden in search of love and identity. A talented local ensemble features Michael Girts as Touchstone, Maddi Scarbrough as Rosalind, and Keene Hudson portraying Jaques. This engaging rendition explores themes of happiness and self-discovery amidst contrasting narratives of comedy and tragedy.

About the Theatre
The Jacobethan Theatre Workshop’s mission is to explore works by playwrights and theater artists of English Renaissance period from the mid-16th century to early-17th century under the reigns of Elizabeth I and James I of England.
We are interested in investigating past and current practices in staging and education, and bringing relevance to the major and lesser known playwrights of the era.
While Shakespeare is a focal point, we wish to highlight the works of Marlowe, Middleton, Fletcher and other influential practitioners of the time.
