Inspired by the writings of radical feminist philosopher and theologian Mary Daly, #GetGandhi  - A Seriously Radical Feminist Comedy Is a world premiere, multi-character play written by award-winning playwright and actor Anne Galjour focusing on Mahatma Gandhi's infamous experiments in brahmacharya, or celibacy. Gandhi would have a young woman disrobe and sleep with him completely naked as a test to prove his seminal continence and his purity of spirit. Gandhi never saw anything wrong with this practice, but a small coven of old school bra-burning San Francisco feminists do. They plot to avenge these sex crimes. They set out for the Gandhi memorial statue, located on the Embarcadero in San Francisco, to rip it from its base, and drag it up Market Street in the middle of the night.

Verb Ballets is proud to welcome national choreographer Charles Anderson in studio the week of July 2- July 6, 2018. Anderson is a former member of New York City Ballet and became one of the leading forces of the San Francisco Bay Area contemporary dance movement. Anderson began choreographing ballets while still a dancer with the New York City Ballet, and he co-founded and acted as Artistic Director for Ballet, Inc. in New York, where he choreographed many of his early works. He later founded and lead Company C Contemporary Ballet in 2002 in San Francisco. Anderson's work reflects a blend of classical and contemporary influences and is included in the repertories of professional dance companies throughout the country.

When an up-and-coming Latino couple purchases a home in a sought-after neighborhood beside the prize-winning garden of a prominent Washington D.C. family, conflicts over fences and flora spiral into an uproarious clash of cultures, exposing both couples' notions of race, taste, class, and privilege. Music at Kohl Mansion has announced the lineup for its 2018-2019 season of chamber concerts in Burlingame's historic Kohl Mansion, opening Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 7 pm. The series will mark its 36th year with eight concerts, featuring five returning audience favorite ensembles and three debut ensembles. Music at Kohl Mansion will welcome back the Alexander String Quartet, the Miro Quartet, the Trio con Brio Copenhagen, the Israeli Chamber Project, and the Trio Solisti. Making their debuts on the Kohl stage this season will be the Aeolus Quartet, the Music of Remembrance Ensemble, and the Gryphon Trio.

Last night in front of approximately 2,400 concertgoers, Dr. Tim Seelig, Artistic Director of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus (SFGMC), served as guest conductor at the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. Seelig stepped onto the conductor's podium to lead the Choir and Orchestra in the encore number, "This Land Is Your Land." The Choir traditionally invites a guest conductor who is well known to the community-from musicians and government officials to religious leaders and celebrities-at each of its concert stops.
