Young Actors' Theatre is pleased to announce their next production for the 2018 - 2019 season. YAT's Winter production season will kick off with the popular holiday show Elf The Musical, Jr featuring actors in grades 2nd-12th. Joining Director Marisa Musgrove on the artistic team are Matt Ignacio (Music Director), Wilfred Paloma (Choreographer), and Devon Jack (Stage Manager).

The Old Globe is expanding San Diego's celebration of the holidays with a world premiere American musical about family, faith, and the magic of Christmas. The Globe is delighted to announce the complete cast and creative team for Looking for Christmas, the new Clint Black Christmas musical, inspired by the country music legend's 1995 chart-topping holiday album. With music and lyrics by Clint Black, book by James D. Sasser with Black, based on an idea by Sasser and Black, music supervision and music direction by Matt Hinkley, and directed by Kent Nicholson, Looking for Christmas is currently running through December 16, 2018 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $39.00 and are on sale to the general public now.

After becoming a sensation on YouTube, Jackie Evancho, went on to audition for America's Got Talent, sweeping the competion at only 10 years old and capturing the hearts of millions.This early success propelled her career to what it is today at just age 18. Among her six albums, she has produced two Christmas albums, "Heavenly Christmas" and "Someday at Christmas," including a performance during the lighitng of the National Christams Tree in Washington, D.C. a few years ago and a special Christmas performance back on the America's Got Talent stage in 2016.

The Old Globe today presents the Globe's 21st annual production of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas!The holiday musical will run November 3 - December 29 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Previews run November 3 - November 7. Opening night is Thursday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m. The Grinch isdirected by James Vasquez, with book and lyrics by Timothy Mason and music by Mel Marvin. The original production of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas! was conceived and directed by Jack O'Brien with additional lyrics by Theodor S. Geisel, additional music by Albert Hague, and original choreography by John DeLuca.

New Village Arts announces its second New Play Festival, FINAL DRAFT, scheduled for January 3-6, 2019. This year's festival will feature plays by local playwrights Aleta Barthell, Dea Hurston, Karen Riehl, Roy Sekigahama and a full-length musical by Blake McCarty and Trevor Bachman. Selections were decided from an open submission pool of over 80 new plays and musicals and a five-person readership panel.

Linda Purl - stage, movie and television veteran actress, stars in a one-woman tour-de-force performance. This play is a tribute to an extraordinary marriage and a love letter to Didion's daughter. Ms. Purl is known for her roles on 'Happy Days' as Ashley Pfister, 'Matlock' (Charlene Matlock), 'Robin's Hoods' (Brett Robin), 'The Office' (Barbara Fortnum) and most recently 'Designated Survivor (Julia Rombauer).
