San Diego Repertory Theatre announced today the cast and creative team for the fourth production in their 43rd season, Julia Cho's Aubergine. Directed by San Diego REP Associate Artistic Director Todd Salovey, Aubergine is an unforgettable story of love, family and the healing power of food. Directed by Manny Bejarano featuring choreography by Michael Mizerany and music direction by William Ah Sing, this quick-change, cross-dressing version of the Charles Dickens classic is set in a Victorian music hall. The Royal Music Hall Twenty-Member Variety Players are beset with a widespread case of food poisoning. This leaves only three surviving members to soldier on through a performance of A Christmas Carol. The undaunted trio gamely face missed cues, ill-fitting costumes, and solving the problem of having no one to play Tiny Tim. Done in the style of British Music Hall, SCROOGE IN ROUGE abounds in bad puns, bawdy malapropisms, naughty double-entendres, and witty songs. A raucous holiday treat!

THE SNOW QUEEN Comes to North Coast Repertory Theatre School

If you and your children were captivated by 'Frozen,' you will be equally enchanted by THE SNOW QUEEN, the upcoming play by The Theatre School @ North Coast Rep. Adapted from the beloved Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale by Ron Nicol, this nonmusical production tells the story of Gerda, a little girl who bravely searches for her friend Kai when he is bewitched and imprisoned by the Snow Queen in her ice palace. Gerda's innocence charms all good people and animals she meets on the way. They help her to the royal court, and on to Lapland, where good conquers evil and the children are reunited. A prominent theme portrays how each new group Gerda encounters seeks to prolong their new friendships.
City Of Vista Dedicates Moonlight Amphitheatre Stage To Kathy Brombacher

The City Council of the City of Vista voted unanimously at its meeting on November 27, 2018 to name the stage of the Moonlight Amphitheatre in honor of Moonlight's Founder and Artistic Director Emeritus Kathy Brombacher. The Kathy Brombacher Stage of the Moonlight Amphitheatre will be officially dedicated in early 2019 to honor the artistic legacy created by Mrs. Brombacher during the course of her 31-years as Artistic Director.
