Wanda Sykes Comes to PPAC 3/17

The Providence Performing Arts Center is pleased to present WANDA SYKES for the first time ever in Providence on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 7:30P. Tickets went on sale on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence, online at www.ppacri.org or by phone at (401) 421-ARTS (2787).
Box Office Hours are Monday through Friday, 10A to 5P; Saturday, 10A to 2P and through curtain time(s) on show days. Tickets are $53, $38, and $28; all ticket prices include a $3 per ticket restoration charge. WANDA SYKES is considered "one of the funniest stand-up comics" by her peers and ranks among Entertainment Weekly's "25 Funniest People in America." Her smart-witted stand up has sent her career in many different directions. Her first HBO comedy special Wanda Sykes: Sick and Tired debuted in October 2006 and was nominated for a 2007 Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Variety, Music, or Comedy Special. SYKES recently wrapped the first season of her late night talk show The Wanda Sykes Show, which runs Saturday nights on Fox affiliates.
