The Partner or, The Sou-Sou Play, written by Ashley Denise Robinson, follows five first-generation women who gather every Tuesday night to exchange money, gossip, and insults. Their hidden lives are thrown into turmoil when a new, non-Caribbean member joins the group. The play explores how tightly people cling to their secrets, and at what cost. It is part of the 2026 SheLA Summer Theater Festival at Rogue Machine Theatre in West Hollywood, running July 6–12.
