WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE LIFE YOU IMAGINED ISN’T THE LIFE YOU GOT?

Ralph Pape’s Say Goodnight, Gracie Comes to The NuBox for Six Performances Only

NEW YORK, NY — This September, The NuBox at John DeSotelle Studio brings 1970s New York back to Hell’s Kitchen with Ralph Pape’s sharp, funny and biting play Say Goodnight, Gracie.

It’s the early ’70s. Five old friends gather in a shabby East Village apartment before their high school reunion. They grew up believing anything was possible.

Adulthood had other plans.

As the night unfolds, old friendships, stalled dreams, romantic entanglements and uncertain futures collide. Armed with sharp wit, cutting humor and the instinct to joke about the things that hurt the most, these five friends find themselves confronting a question that still hits home today:

What happens when the life you imagined isn’t the life you got?

Directed by Micky Pantano and featuring Brennan Boyle, Josh Crowder, Janna Erohina, Amanda Nicole Meade and Gui Pimentel, Say Goodnight, Gracie is a humorous, bittersweet trip back to 1970s New York—and a timeless look at friendship, growing up and figuring out what comes next.
