This fall, RLT will expand its adult acting classes, which take students through the process of preparing for the stage and help build skills useful in everyday life. The line-up includes a diverse slate of classes, including Public Speaking - On the Light Side! and Introduction to Improvisation. For the first time, RLT will partner with the CAM Raleigh to offer a course, Acting for Creative Entrepreneurs, at the museum. The class runs from October 5-26 on Monday nights and is taught by Patrick Torres, Artistic Director, who also directed the hit production of Monty Python's SPAMALOT currently running at RLT.

Akiva Fox of the Clear Shakespeare podcast (http://clearshakespeare.com/) is among the new faculty members. He was previously Literary Manager and Dramaturge at Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC. Fox says of his partnership with RLT, "I'm thrilled to be teaching Shakespeare Scene Study at Raleigh Little Theatre. Shakespeare's language can be so daunting, but this class will take students inside that language to create scenes that are clear, alive and dramatic." The class begins Sunday, September 20 and runs through October 25.

The Adult Classes this fall offer another exciting amenity for participants, as this is the first time RLT has offered online enrollment. Interested students can register online for any adult course offerings at the theatre's website: www.raleighlittletheatre.org.

Also this fall, RLT steps outside of Raleigh to offer two adult acting classes at the Renaissance Centre in Wake Forest - Beginning Actors Studio and Scene Study.

Highlights of the spring Adult Class schedule include a course on Devised Theatre taught by Amy Sawyers of Arts NC State, which will happen simultaneously with the devising process of dog & pony dc's Beertown, and a course on playwriting taught by James McManus, formerly an associated artist with LA's Cornerstone Theater Company.

"In order to build a high quality Adult Education Program, we have invited nationally known artists who live in the Triangle to join our faculty this year. Their experience will ensure that each of our participants has a dynamic and transformative experience here at RLT," said Patrick Torres, Artistic Director.
