Parsons Theatre is proud to announce that National Youth Arts (NYA) has honored the theatre's resident youth theatre company-the nationally acclaimed and award-winning Northglenn Youth Theatre (NYT)- with numerous awards and nominations for the 2012/2013 season. NYA awards honor outstanding work by youth in the arts. This year more than 300 productions were considered for the awards, including shows from more than 100 different theatres in more than 50 cities spanning 10 states.

Arizona's version of the Tony awards took place at the Tempe Center for the Arts on Monday, September 16th. Forty theatres participated around the valley including youth, contracted, and non-contracted theatres. Hale Theatre, who falls under non-contracted, swept sixteen awards, receiving the most earned out of all theatres valley wide.

The dynamic and heavenly vocals from one of the best-loved vocal duos in Arizona, Earl and Alexis Hazell accompanied by the incomparable Mack Frampton on piano. The Hazells, from Phoenix, have delighted PCA audiences before. Mr. Frampton is an award-winning pianist, (Long Beach [CA] International Piano Competition, Van Cliburn International Piano Competition) who last appeared in Prescott ten years ago at YCPAC - Oh, Henry! (Mancini), performing over 4000 concerts worldwide. The Gershwins themselves would smile all through this melodic menagerie of some of the worlds' greatest songs.
