“There were many sightings of the River Boys, until one day they ran into the darkness and were never seen again.”
Yirra Yaarnz is a collection of monologues from emerging Western Australian Aboriginal playwrights responding to the broad theme of ‘The River’. Mentored by award-winning playwright Hellie Turner through Yirra Yaakin’s Writers’ Group, this presentation is created by emerging producer Eva Mullaley.
Yirra Yaarnz celebrates NAIDOC with a thought-provoking season of new works focused around the mythology and metaphors of the river.
