Local favourites Brendan Ewing, Rhoda Lopez, and Jo Morris team up in this black comedy about a marriage in crisis.
Jeremy and Daphne Pluck have decided to give their union another try, following Jeremy’s little ‘indiscretion’ with a co-worker. On their way home from their first dinner back as a couple, the Plucks are mugged in a park. Daphne’s family heirloom necklace is stolen. She’s mad – Jeremy should’ve protected her.
Jeremy needs to man up. He installs security systems, learns martial arts and even purchases a large Rottweiler. He is determined to show Daphne he can be the devoted, protective husband she needs.
Then the new neighbours move in – Wyatt, a gun-toting, Clint Eastwood worshipping, gung-ho cop, and his beautiful Filipina bride, Lulu. Convincing Daphne he’s a changed man just got that little bit harder.
PLUCK! is a darkly comic tale about gender roles, home security and guns, and the lengths one man will go to to keep his marriage alive.
