Happy Holidays from Broadway Sessions! Our Annual All-Star Holiday Show this past Thursday the 19th was such a joyous occasion. Belting, tapping, singalongs and laughing- oh my! Our All-Star lineup included Paige Davis (Chicago, Trading Spaces), Patrick Page (Hadestown) Jewelle Blackman (Hadestown), Max Chernin (Sunday in The Park), Rhaamell Burke-Missouri (King Kong), Hernando Umana (School of Rock), Nicole Vanessa Ortiz (Smokey Joe's Cafe), Riza Takahashi (Mean Girls), Gianna Yanelli (Mean Girls), Jessica Juanich (Bat Out Of Hell), Imari Hardon (Avenue Q), Robert Mantano (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), Eric Sebek (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), The Honey Taps, Colleen Harris, Michael Kirk Lane, Katryna Marttala, and Anthony Fett. 

Taylor Louderman recently performed a medley of songs from her career, arranged by music director Benjamin Rauhala (at the piano) entitled 'The #SlayLizLou Medley,' based on Rauhala's nickname for Louderman.

This spring, Mean Girls on Broadway welcomed a new set of adult women in Tony Award-nominee Jennifer Simard and a brand new number two for Regina George, Krystina Alabado, who has stepped into the fabulous shoes of Gretchen Weiners.

The cast of Mean Girls made 'fetch' happen in a big way at Broadway Sessions recently. Cast members Rick Younger, Jonalyn Saxer, DeMarius Copes, Talya Rae Groves, Ashley De LaRosa, Riza Takahashi, Brittany Nicholas, Myles, McHale, Iain Young, Chris Medlin and Gianna Yanelli brought the talent and the funny til the wee hours of the morning. Broadway's Mean Girls and Atlantic Records have released the official music video for 'I'd Rather Be Me' from the award-winning hit musical featuring Barrett Wilbert Weed, who currently performs as Janis Sarkisian in the show.  The video had its exclusive premiere yesterday via Rolling Stone, who called it both 'empowering' and 'uplifting.'  'I'd Rather Be Me' is featured on the 'Mean Girls Original Cast Recording,' out now.  The 'Mean Girls Original Cast Recording,' was produced by Jeff Richmond, Nell Benjamin, Tina Fey, Mary-Mitchell Campbell and Lorne Michaels and co-produced by Pete Ganbarg, Craig Rosen and John Clancy.

Music Theatre Wichita concludes its 2018 Season with the return of Disney's "The Little Mermaid," directed and choreographed by Linda Goodrich, with musical direction by Thomas W. Douglas. The 60-member cast includes Broadway veterans working alongside some of the nation's most promising new talent, all showcased in an brand-new staging, featuring imaginative sets and costumes inspired by the classic Disney film. In 2011, Music Theatre Wichita was one of the first three theatres in the country to receive permission from the Disney Company to produce this title following its Broadway run, and the new edition marks the local premiere of the newly revised script and score. "The Little Mermaid" runs for ten performances, August 8-18 at the Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, Kansas.

Music Theatre Wichita continues its 2018 Season with one of the first regional productions of the newly revised Pippin, reflecting the changes composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz and librettist Roger O. Hirson introduced in the 2013 Broadway revival. Directed and choreographed by Emmy-nominated Al Blackstone ("So You Think You Can Dance"), the lavish production features a 32-member cast in an all-new staging. The fourth of five self-produced musicals in MTWichita's 2018 season, the run continues through July 29. Disney's The Little Mermaid will conclude the season August 8-18.

Music Theatre Wichita continues its 2018 Season with a fresh take on the classic musical Guys and Dolls. The second of five locally produced Broadway-scale productions, Guys and Dolls plays June 27-July 1 at the Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, KS.

The 2004 film "Mean Girls" was written by Tina Fey. Now a Broadway musical version of the film has earned a whopping 12 Tony nominations. Fey tells TODAY that she was at the gym when she got the news, and "I started crying in the middle of Equinox." More on this story here.

Continuing TODAY's 'Best of Broadway' week, Tina Fey is live on the TODAY plaza to introduce a performance by the cast of her Broadway musical 'Mean Girls,' which has received a dozen Tony nominations. Watch them perform a song from the show, 'Apex Predator.'
