Live From Lincoln Center's winter and spring broadcast season kicked off with a special concert from Lincoln Center's 2013 American Songbook series celebrating the legendary songwriting duo of John Kander and Fred Ebb. The broadcast, 'Ring Them Bells! A Kander & Ebb Celebration,' was hosted by Audra McDonald and aired on PBS stations last night, February 15, 2013. Joel Grey sang, 'If You Could See Her', a song he originated in the Broadway and film versions of CABARET. Click below to watch his performance!

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) continues its latest Road to Hollywood tour around the country with a stop in New York City, where TCM, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Verizon FiOS will present a free public screening of the groundbreaking musical Cabaret (1972). Four of the film's stars - Liza Minnelli, Joel Grey, Michael York and Marisa Berenson - joined TCM host Robert Osborne on stage to introduce the 40th anniversary restoration of the film. The event was held last night, Jan. 31, 2013, at Manhattan's famous Ziegfeld Theatre, where Cabaret first premiered. BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was there for the festivities and he chatted with the film's stars and other guests on the red carpet. Check out what they had to say below!

NBC's 'TODAY' welcomed the legendary Liza Minnelli and the cast of the landmark film Cabaret on this morning's show. 'They sent us to Germany to make this extraordinary film,' explained the Academy Award winning actress. 'And I could hear people whispering, 'How are we going to advertise it? Broadway Musicals: A Jewish Legacy is a new, 90-minute documentary by Michael Kantor, creator of the Emmy-winning series, Broadway: The American Musical. Happy Birthday Laura Osnes! Osnes made her Broadway debut in the 2007 revival of Grease. On March 10, 2009 Osnes took over the role of Ensign Nellie Forbush from Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara, who went on maternity leave, in the Lincoln Center Theater Broadway revival of South Pacific. She then starred as Hope Harcourt, alongside Sutton Foster and Joel Grey, in the Broadway revival of Anything Goes. Osnes then played Bonnie Parker opposite Jeremy Jordan in Bonnie & Clyde, which opened at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in 2011. She will soon lead the upcoming revival of Cinderella.

Today in 2003, Wicked opened at the Gershwin Theatre, where it is still running. Wicked is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. Wicked tells the story of two unlikely friends, Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West) and Glinda (the Good Witch of the North), who struggle through opposing personalities and viewpoints, rivalry over the same love-interest, reactions to the Wizard's corrupt government, and, ultimately, Elphaba's public fall from grace. Its original stars included Idina Menzel as Elphaba, Kristin Chenoweth as Glinda, and Joel Grey as the Wizard. The original Broadway production won 3 Tony Awards and 6 Drama Desk Awards whilst its cast album received a Grammy Award.

Yesterday, July 14, Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore hosted the 14th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Roundabout Theatre Company's Tony Award-winning production of Anything Goes plays its final show on Broadway today, July 8, at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. Directed and choreographed by 2011 Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall, the original limited engagement subscription run opened on April 7, 2011, and was scheduled to run for 19 weeks. It went on to be extended three times through July 8, 2012, and Anything Goes recently celebrated its 500th performance on Broadway. This acclaimed production marks the second longest Broadway run in Roundabout's history, following its beloved revival of Cabaret. The cast's Raymond J. Lee wrote to BroadwayWorld: 'To the most amazing cast and crew a guy could ever ask for....It has been a pleasure sailing with all of you on the SS American. On April 11, 2012, Broadway legend Joel Grey celebrated his 80th birthday with a special private party hosted by his longtime PR firm, O&M Co., at The McKittrick Hotel's Manderley Bar (also home to SLEEP NO MORE), following that evening's performance of ANYTHING GOES. BWW's scoopers got their hands on a cell phone shot video of the tireless star entertaining the crowd with another unforgettable performance of 'Willkommen' from CABARET. Where he gets the energy from, we don't know.

Today, April 11, Broadway legend Joel Grey celebrates his 80th birthday! Grey originated the role of the Master of Ceremonies in the Broadway musical Cabaret in 1966 for which he won the Tony Award. Additional Broadway credits include Come Blow Your Horn (1961), Stop the World - I Want to Get Off (1962), Half a Sixpence (1965),George M! (1968), Goodtime Charley (1975), The Grand Tour (1979), Chicago (1996), and Wicked (2003). Grey won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in March 1973 for his performance as the Master of Ceremonies in the 1972 film version of Cabaret.

Rob Marshall began his career with Roundabout working on celebrated musicals such as She Loves Me, Company, Little Me and the Tony Award®-winning Cabaret. When Hollywood beckoned, he directed and choreographed the biggest film musical in years, the Academy Award® winning Chicago, the summer blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and the star studded NINE among others. With honors ranging from the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame to the Tony Awards, Broadway's best performers gathered last night, February 27, to raise awareness of the rare disease, pulmonary fibrosis, and honor the memory of Associated Press theater critic, Michael Kuchwara (today would have been Kuchwara's 65th Birthday). Hosted by award-winning actress and devoted Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) advocate Julie Halston, Broadway Belts for PFF! returned to Birdland in New York City for a second successful year. The event raised almost $50,000 to benefit the Foundation.
