Anything Goes stars Tony Award winner - and now 2011 Tony nominee - Sutton Foster as 'Reno Sweeney' and Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey as 'Moonface Martin.' Anything Goes is directed & choreographed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. Recently, BroadwayWorld stopped by the Stephen Sondheim theater to meet the ladies that give Ms. Sweeney her wings. This weekend, WABC-TV aired a half-hour special on the best of the new Broadway season, including ANYTHING GOES, ARCADIA, THE BOOK OF MORMON, GHETTO KLOWN, THE HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, JERUSALEM, THE MOTHER WITH THE HAT, THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL, THAT CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON and WONDERLAND. The special will aired Saturday, April 30 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM and is now available online.

The Broadway premiere of Larry Kramer's ground-breaking play The Normal Heart officially opened last night, Wednesday, April 27, at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). The limited, 12-week engagement, directed by Joel Grey and George C. Wolfe, began performances on Tuesday, April 19. Broadway Beat was on hand to celebrate and speak to the stars!
