Last night (8 March 2016) marked the opening of the West End production of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. With music and lyrics from the legendary Motown catalogue and book by Motown founder Berry Gordy, MOTOWN THE MUSICAL is directed by Charles Randolph-Wright. Last month, due to public demand, a further 200,000 tickets were released for sale taking bookings at the Shaftesbury Theatre to 18 February 2017. In the final one-hour performance show last night, each of the couples competed in two dances. All three couples had the chance to show their improvement over the course of the season, performing a dance chosen by the judges that they have previously performed, but were able to incorporate new music and new choreography. During Tuesday's DANCING WITH THE STAR results show, two more couples had to face the dreaded 'dance duel'. In the end, the judges decided to save Disney star Roshon Fegan and his partner Chelsie Hightower and send home music legend Gladys Knight and her partner Tristan Macmanus.
