The Coppell Arts Center has announced its 2026–2027 season, Experience Art at its Best — an extraordinary lineup of eight shows that celebrate the full range of live performance. From the deeply moving Behind the Lines: A 9/11 Story to the high-energy spectacle of Voices of Rock and the timeless sounds of ARRIVAL from Sweden: The Music of ABBA, this season pushes the boundaries of what live performance can be. Nowhere is that more apparent than in URBAN SCUBA — a bold meld of dance, circus, and gravity-defying invention. Rounding out an unforgettable season are CeCe Teneal's DIVAS OF SOUL, VENTASTIC, The Sunkicks: Home for the Holidays, and The Boulevards — ensuring there is something to inspire, move, and delight everyone. BEHIND THE LINES: A 9/11 STORY

9/11 drew a nation together and linked the lives of two men from different generations. Set against the tragedy of the attacks and the war that followed, World Trade Center firefighter Bill Spade (sole survivor from FDNY Rescue Company 5) and combat veteran Jaymes Poling (three tours in Afghanistan) relive their experiences, revealing an unexpected bond in strength, meaning, and the weight of what they continue to carry after service.
URBAN SCUBA

A bold meld of dance, circus, and gravity-defying invention, Urban Scuba is off-the-wall choreography —a dreamlike scuba dive into society's past and present, driven by an original pulsating electro-rock music score, and capturing grace and beauty whether of bodies in mid-air or gliding across the stage on a shimmering watery surface. Audiences are transported to the abandoned buildings and the cavernous substrata of an Any-City USA, where six fearless explorers delightfully re-imagine and re-purpose society's leftovers in playful and literally high-flying ways.
