Broadway star Allie Trimm is in concert with composer Daniel Dunlow. Enjoy an evening of new music from Dunlow's piano and Trimm's voice. The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego is currently featuring Tony and Pulitzer Award winner Neil Simon's semi-autobiographical plays, BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND. The plays follow the life of Eugene Morris Jerome from the foibles of youth in late-1930s Brooklyn to a career as a comedy writer for radio. Brighton Beach Memoirs and Broadway Bound are performed in a rotating repertory schedule. After a 48 year absence, Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presents the first new Broadway production of Bye Bye Birdie as the inaugural production of the new Henry Miller's Theatre (124 West 43rd Street) beginning Thursday, September 10th, 2009 with an official opening on Thursday, October 15th, 2009. This will be a limited engagement through January 10th, 2010.
