Beloved Philadelphia punk institution The Menzingers have announced ‘Some Of It Was True (Deluxe)’: the expanded special edition of their critically acclaimed seventh album out this Friday, May 31st. Enhancing the collection of contemplative sing-a-longs marked by cathartic choruses, The Menzingers extend the fun with two new tracks including single “Gone West.' Listen to it now!

Six professional actors meet as members of The Drunk Shakespeare Society. One of them has 5 shots of whiskey and then attempts to perform a major role in a Shakespearean play. Hilarity and mayhem ensue while the five sober actors try and keep the script on track. Every show is different depending on who is drinking... and what they're drinking!

On May 25th, Olney Theatre Center unveiled the world premiere of the musical Long Way Down at the Mulitz-Gudelsky Theatre Lab. The piece was adapted from Jason Reynolds's novel of the same name, which has received accolades such as the National Book Award and a Newbery Medal, and was written (books, music, and lyrics) by Dahlak Brathwaite, with additional writing (books, music, and lyrics) by Khiyon Hursey.

Composer Richard M. Sherman passed away at 95 due to age-related illness at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, on Saturday, May 25th.
